1. What does the schedule for the race day?
The race starting timings are as follows:
Half Marathon Category
- Reporting time for Half Marathon : 6.15AM
- Line-up shall start at : 6.30AM
- Race start time : 6.45AM
10KM Category
- Reporting time for 10K : 6.15AM
- Line-up shall start at : 6.45AM.
- Race start time : 6.50AM
5KM Category
- Reporting time for 5K : 6.15AM
- Line-up shall start at: 6.50AM.
- Race start time : 6.55AM

5. Does the Celebration Mysore Marathon get participants from other states?Yes, the Celebration Marathon does get participants from all over India. We do expect some international participants to join us as well. We look forward to our running friends from other states coming to enjoy our event as well as Mysore Dasara.
6. What can I expect for temperatures? Normally during this time of the year the temperatures are in 23 – 26 degree Centigrade.

Please note that there is NO race day bib pick up. All participating runners should have Bib Number displayed to participate in the race.
8. Can I have a friend pick up my race packet for me?Yes, you can have a friend pick up the race packet for you.
The person picking up the race packet for you must bring your registration confirmation email or payment receipt, a copy of your valid Photo ID license and a note authorising that person to pick up the race packet on your behalf.

9. Where can I store my bags at the start of the race?There shall be baggage counter open to store some of your items. Please do not leave behind valuable in the stored bag. Organiser of the race not responsible for the loss of any items.
10. Is there parking at the starting area?Yes, there is parking available at two location at the starting area by the Mysore Palace. One is opposite to old Gun House – the Mysore Palace Parking area, second parking area is Dodda Kere Maidana which is opposite to Exhibition Grounds.
11. Are there toilets along the course?Yes, portable toilets are put up long the course at around 4.5KM and at around 9KM.
12. Can I run for cause? Yes, you can run for a cause. The official cause of the Celebration Marathon is the Animal Adoption Program at Mysore Zoo. However, you may choose your own cause like many of the runners who have registered.
13. What are the Aid Stations serving?Aid station shall be serving water at all station. Some selected station along the route will be serving electrolytes, banana slices and other items.
14. How is the timing recorded?RIFD timing technology is being used to record time. Timing chips shall be provided to Half Marathon and 10K participants to monitor their time.
15. Is the course closed to traffic?Yes, for the most part the traffic will be closed during the race.
16. Will there be Medical Assistance?Yes, there will be Medical assistance provided along the route of the race and at the finish area. Apollo BGS Hospital personnel will be manning each of the medical station. The medical station is staffed by doctors and nurses.
17. What if it takes me longer than 4 hours to finish?There will be no official time recorded after 4 hours from the start of the race. That is, the timing collection cut-off is at 10.30AM. Runners/walkers will be notified at approximately an hour before at 9.30AM if they are not on track to meet the requirement. At that point, the runner can either choose to utilise their own transport back to the finish area, or may continue as a pedestrian without assistance. Aid stations, traffic control, volunteers, etc. will relinquish their posts based upon the 4 hour completion time.
18. Is there a sweep?Yes, there will be a sweep of the last runner/walker until he/she cross the finish line. Runner/walker will be notified of the 4hour cut off time at 9.30AM if they are on track to complete the race within 10.30 hours.
19. What is available at the Finish?Besides the medal distribution for Half Marathon and 10K runners/walkers, there will be aid station serving water and light refreshments for all runners/walkers. The participants can take advantage of the medical tent the finish area.
