ASPERA …the NEN Entrepreneurship Cell of Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering, has come together with LIFE IS CALLING SPORTS in promoting the “Celebration Mysore Marathon” this Dasara.

ASPERA is a student led organization that is a part of the National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN), a Wadhwani Foundation initiative that aims to enhance the entrepreneurial skills of the students.

We, at ASPERA have conducted several campaigns starting from Green Drive, CFL Enlightenment Drive, Educating Street Vendors about Business Strategies, and also the Anti-Plastic Rally at Chamundi Hills in which even the then Mayor of Mysore participated, to name a few.

By conducting such activities we have shown our social concern towards our society and we have earned accolades from the citizens of this Heritage City Mysore. Adding feather to our cap we have even won the prestigious NEN INDIA E-WEEK CHAMPIONS 2011 Award.

LIFE IS CALLING SPORTS is a start-up company and it was indeed a pleasant opportunity for ASPERA to contribute towards their maiden venture as Youth Partners for“Celebration Mysore Marathon”. The whole exposure that we students received by being a part of this event has truly been a good learning experience. A team of 15 E-Leaders and more than 40 E-Members have been striving to promote this Marathon throughout every nook and corner of Mysore towards its success. Not to forget the enthusiastic bunch of volunteers from Mahajana’s First Grade College who have assisted ASPERA in the promotion campaign.

ASPERA encourages entrepreneurship and we really appreciate LIFE IS CALLING SPORTS, an entrepreneurial venture in itself, to have students onboard as a team and giving us a firsthand experience in real world. With the promise of success of this event we would definitely look forward to future opportunities to work together.
